Q: Are there special training classes or demos available for CADACS?
 
A: Yes. We can provide special training for those who would like to learn CADACS via classes. Pinnacle Software can also demonstrate the CADACS program for your company.
 
 
Q: Is CADACS strictly for Oil companies?
 
A: No. CADACS may be used to capture data any place, any time...in any industry.
 
 
Q: How flexible is the CADACS program?
 
A: Pinnacle Software has designed the CADACS program to be managed by the customer. By that we mean that any application can be changed, modified, and enhanced by our users without extensive programming or database experience.
 
 
Q: My company has very specific data that needs to be captured. Will Pinnacle Software, Inc. need to modify CADACS for my company's specific needs?
 
A: No. CADACS was designed so that the data capturing applications may be tailored to capture any necessary data.
 
 
Q: What handheld units support the CADACS program?
 
A: Currently, CADACS can be supported on handheld computers running Pocket PC on the Windows CE operating system. This would include the Compaq iPAQ, HP Jornada, and DELL Axim. Should you require rugged and/or intrinsicly safe devices, you may opt for devices such as the Symbol PDT8100, PDT8000, or PDT2800.
 
 
Q: Is PocketCADACS compatible with the Pocket PC 2003 operating system?
 
A: Yes. PocketCADACS has been upgraded to support use on the Pocket PC 2003 operating system.
 
 
Q: I have my own handheld unit, can I use it for CADACS?
 
A: If it is an approved unit for the CADACS program, then yes. If you have to buy a new unit for the CADACS program, Pinnacle Software can make recommendations for which unit will work best for your needs.
 
 
Q: I have an older computer and older operating system. Will I need to upgrade these to accommodate CADACS?
 
A: Not necessarily. Older computers and older operating systems will function, but slower. Some customers make hardware upgrades implementing CADACS, but it is not necessary.
 
 
Q: How long will it take to install CADACS?
 
A: Pinnacle Software prides itself in delivering a quality product. Since CADACS does not come “off the shelf”, it is fully customized to the end-user’s needs. This process takes between 2-3 weeks for full implementation. Pinnacle Software works within the time requirements of our customers.
 
 
Q: Can I edit data using the CADACS Host application?

Q: Can I print data directly from the handheld device?
 
A: Yes, PocketCADACS will print to any printer using IR or Bluetooth.

A: Yes, using existing scripting technologies (such as VBScript, VBA, SQL and ADO), and the Microsoft Office Suite.
 
 
Q: Do I need a license to use CADACS?
 
A: Yes. CADACS uses the PremierLM license that is included in the standard installation package.
